The Youth Assembly at the United Nations is a gathering of hundreds of young people from around the world (16*-28 years old) who aspire to involvement with the United Nations and civil society, and who seek ways to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals and a more sustainable world.

YA 11@UN will focus youth leaders on the success of the MDGs and beyond: the MDGs today for global development tomorrow. Talks, workshops, and campaigns by Youth Leaders, UN staff, dignitaries, celebrities, and others. Summer 2012 focus: New Technologies & the MDGs; Sustainability reports: The Youth Voice at Rio+20, and more.
The Global NGO Executive Committee (GNEC) was founded in 1962 to promote a closer working relationship between the United Nations and the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) associated with it. GNEC acts as a liaison between the NGO community and the UN's Department of Global Communications (DGC). GNEC provides strategic guidance to help NGOs become more effective partners of the UN.
