The NGO/DPI Executive Committee was honored to be a recipient of the Kingian Principles Recognition Award of the New York MLK (Martin Luther King, Jr.) Center for Non-Violence.
The award was given for the first time to religious and UN organizations that had extended the hand of peace in the community. The NGO/DPI Executive Committee was very pleased to have received this prestigious award in this the inaugural year of its presentation!

NGO/DPI Executive Committee
The Global NGO Executive Committee (GNEC) was founded in 1962 to promote a closer working relationship between the United Nations and the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) affiliated with it. GNEC acts as a liaison between the NGO community and the UN's Department of Global Communications (UNDGC). GNEC provides strategic guidance to help NGOs become more effective partners of the UN.
