Welcome to our newsletter, NGO Reporter: Gathering Perspectives from the Global NGO Community. Its free subscriber list includes NGO leaders affiliated with UNDGC, as well as UN and other media, and all those interested in UN-related, NGO activities at UN Headquarters and worldwide — including those created or promoted by members of GNEC and its staff.
History
NGO Reporter was founded by Ms Dorrie Weiss and Mr Patrick Sciarratta, who launched the publication in 1992. For over 30 years, NGO Reporter has been the authoritative voice of civil society at the UN, a news source that connects NGOs, the media, and civil society networks worldwide to the work of GNEC, more than 1,500 UNDGC affiliated NGOs, and topical issues related to all UN Department of Global Communications (UNDGC) associates

Social Media
GNEC is active on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. These platforms, along with GNEC’s ZOOM account, are available free of charge to any UNDGC affiliated NGOs to promote their work or events.
Note: Such availability is subject to prior approval from GNEC for time, date, and material, and if the requesting NGO’s offerings are free and open to the public.

ABOUT US
The Global NGO Executive Committee (GNEC) was founded in 1962 to promote a closer working relationship between the United Nations and the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) affiliated with it. GNEC acts as a liaison between the NGO community and the UN's Department of Global Communications (UNDGC). GNEC provides strategic guidance to help NGOs become more effective partners of the UN.
