This winter’s Youth Assembly at the United Nations will focus on “Bridging the Gap between Global Development and Youth Employment.”
“I urge you to see your time (at the Youth Assembly) as a call to action. The world needs each and every one of you to do your part in transforming our world and building a more sustainable and equitable future for all.” – U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
“If you saw the impact you have had on the youth (and young at heart) attending the Assembly you would have to shade your eyes from the brightness of hope. We applaud you for your good work.”
The Global NGO Executive Committee (GNEC) was founded in 1962 to promote a closer working relationship between the United Nations and the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) affiliated with it. GNEC acts as a liaison between the NGO community and the UN's Department of Global Communications (UNDGC). GNEC provides strategic guidance to help NGOs become more effective partners of the UN.
